Gliding Trial Lessons


We offer We are offering a lifetime experience to fly like a bird by giving the public the opportunity to fly in a two-seater dual controlled motorised glider with a fully qualified BGA (British Gliding Association) instructor. Come to Sackville to discover the joy of soaring flight. You will sit in the front of our 2-seat motorised glider, have the controls demonstrated to you and be invited to take the controls yourself - under the watchful eye of one of our experienced instructors. But beware.. soaring flight is very addictive !
Gliding Trial Lesson (Motorised Glider) The flight time will be approximately 30 minutes and the amount of time spent in gliding flight with the engine switched off will be dependent on the weather conditions. You will receive: A briefing on the aircraft and a safety talk A powered climb to a height dependent on the cloudbase, where the instructor will switch the engine off A demonstration of the controls An opportunity to take control of the aircraft yourself The instructor will switch the engine on again prior to landing One month's membership of the club with the option to fly again at club rates Restrictions As with any similar activity, there are a few restrictions, but we do keep these to an absolute minimum. Minimum age is 14 Under 18s require parental consent Minimum Height 5ft Maximum Height 6ft 6ins Maximum Weight 16 stone	£60.00

And Finally The club provides free tea and coffee for all its visitors. Spectators are welcome and if you wish, you are most welcome to bring the family and a picnic, but no dogs please.
